Zambia to receive new 1Mta cement plant

Weye Construction Materials Ltd (WCM) plans to establish cement and quarry in Chilanga district, Zambia, at a cost of US$45m. The new plant will have a cement capacity of 1Mta, while teh limestone quarry is expected to have a lifespan of more than 20 years, according to an environmental impact assessment (EIA) report submitted to Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA) by WCM.
